Rich Homie Quan Releases Debut Album "Rich As In Spirit" (Stream)

Having already sold millions of singles worldwide as an independent artist, now signed to Motown, young Atlanta-based rapper Rich Homie Quan has released his debut album ‘Rich As In Spirit’. New single ’34’ is out now, listen to it here.

As the album’s title suggests, Rich As In Spirit’ has nothing to do with material riches and everything to do with confidence, attitude and resilience. A compelling personal narrative of Quan’s journey in growth, maturity and self-development, it is a testament to a new layer of his artistry. ‘Rich As In Spirit’ reveals a different, more self-assured side of Quan. He nonetheless remains completely relatable.

Quan came to prominence in 2012 with the release of his ‘I Go In On Every Song’ project. He exploded the following year with the release of the mixtape ‘Still Going In Reloaded’, his Gold-certified ‘Type Of Way’ single and an appearance on YG’s triple Platinum ‘My Hitta’ track. His 2015 single, ‘Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)’, has been certified double Platinum. The accompanying video has more than 100 million YouTube views and inspired countless fan versions.

Noisey praised Quan’s early 2017 mixtape, ‘Back To The Basics’, as “a mixture of hard raps and soft croons over stuttering hi-hats and booming kicks” and noted, “He's still very much in the conversation as one of the most exciting MCs in Atlanta”. The  ‘Back To The Basics’
movie used Quan’s engaging narration to link together official videos for six of the mixtape’s songs.
