KR’s ‘The Intermission’ EP Now Available For Purchase & Streaming

KR is an artist whose star is undeniably on the rise. Courted by numerous labels, included on various “Top New LA Artist” lists and aligned with a burgeoning/passionate fan base (including none other than Kendrick Lamar) that has helped him get featured on outlets such as XXL, MTV, Fader, Mass Appeal, Complex, 2dopeboyz, Hypebeast and Billboard strictly via word of mouth.
On the cusp of his debut movie role starring alongside Halle Berry and Daniel Craig in the upcoming movie drama Kings (the movie is centered around a foster family in South Central and set a few weeks before the city erupts in violence following the Rodney King trail) which was recently premiered in September at the Toronto Film Festival and will be released in theaters this winter.
KR delivered his new EP, The Intermission, in September and it was exclusively premiered by Billboard. "With this project I really wanted to show my versatility as an artist” KR commented. “I enjoy making different types of music and showing versatility, for different types of people that can be enjoyed in any type of setting. I've always used music as a getaway from my real life struggles and problems and I often have to remind myself to keep this music thing fun; and not become so consumed with the numbers. Music is my personal therapy and I hope when other people hear this project they can relate and understand what I've been through and find a piece of them in myself."
Today, KR unveils a new visual for “You Deserve Better” which was exclusively premiered by XXL. “You Deserve Better” is basically me displaying that I'm not perfect in the series of imperfect experiences I went through with a certain individual” KR stated to XXL. “I made a lot of mistakes in my past while I was involved with this woman. I basically took on a relationship I wasn't ready for. In the video I portrayed it as if I was bad news meaning the “bad guy,” while she was not aware of the things I did to keep her happy.”
