A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Debuts at #4 on the Billboard Top 200

After releasing three huge hits over the last year, including "Timeless," (RIIA Certified Gold) "My Sh*t," (RIAA Certified Platinum) and "Drowning" feat. Kodak Black (RIAA Certified Platinum) which has now been streamed over 300M times after spending 21 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it seems only natural that the multi-platinum Highbridge artist A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie (High Bridge The Label / Atlantic Records)'s debut album, The Bigger Artist, lands in the #4 spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart this week, alongside Shania Twain, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Tom Petty. A Boogie also officially became the top emerging act in the U.S, springing to #1 on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart, and the only Hip-Hop / R&B act in the top 5, also charting at #X on the Billboard Top R&B / Hip-Hop chart.

Hot New Hip Hop says that the album, featuring vocals from Chris Brown, 21 Savage, Trey Songz, Don Q and production from Metro Boomin, DJ Mustard, Scott Storch and more, does "more than enough to cement his status at the cream of New York's crop," confirming Forbes' proclamation that "A Boogie is 'no one hit wonder.'" The New York Times proclaimed the XXL Freshman as the "most promising young rapper the city has produced in some time," testifying that Artist Dubose was born to personify his name. Sustaining his indefatigable work ethic, the 21 year old rapper dropped the official visual for his second RIAA Certified Platinum single, "Drowning" feat. Kodak Black. The video for the viral hit, directed by the RITE Brothers, depicts A Boogie performing underwater and physically drowning in diamonds. Behind the scenes footage to be released next week shows the degree of commitment required to shoot the ambitious concept.

After being called "a key part of the revitalization of New York rap" by Forbes, playing Jay-Z's Made in America Festival, to being brought out by Drake at his sold out Madison Square Garden series, the #4 Billboard debut of The Bigger Artist marks A Boogie's long awaited admittance into superstardom. Don't miss A Boogie live on The Bigger Artist Tour, starting October 19th in Santa Ana, CA and heading east through the US to November 16th in Norfolk, VA (full dates below), and watch the new official video for "Drowning" below.
