Described by major network PBS as “Resilient, empowering, and passionate” latina female rapper Pinqy Ring is known for her lyrical skills on and off the mic. Pinqy returns to the industry ablaze with new single and video Phoenix. Outside of prepping for her upcoming tour, Pinqy has not only made contributions to educating students, but has made major moves getting a grant from the City of Chicago to kick off her own tour.
After a near-fatal car crash, Pinqy’s perspective transformed creating this new fire described in her single “Phoenix.” Rising from a dark place and witnessing rebirth, the video directed by Definite Sound Media creates a cinematic view with creative angles. Setting the scene in the wilderness, Pinqy spits from an organic, gritty place creating an intense performance within the visual. On July 5th, 2017, Pinqy will be taking over the stage with her first major performance at Chicago’s biggest historical event, The Taste of Chicago. Performing with a full band and DJs, Pinqy will began her tour sharing her story and staking her claim to rise as one of the best female emcees in the game.
