HNHH Premiere: Birdman Throws Shots at Rick Ross In Sy Ari Da Kid's New Vid
Atlanta (by way of NY) emcee/producer Sy Ari Da Kid has given people plenty to talk about with a pair of releases today; a brand new video featuring Birdman as well as his latest album, 2 Soon.
Sy Ari Da Kid has been buzzing the last few years and just recently was signed by Birdman to Cash Money/Universal. His single, "Priorities" with Bryson Tiller, got people talking last year, and from there he went on to write and produce "First Take" off of Travis Scott's last album.
But back to today's release, Sy gets with mentor Birdman for one of the standout tracks off of 2 Soon, "Wire Transfer From Birdman" (produced by Will A Fool & Bobby Kritical). In the Dontell Antonio directed video, Sy kills it with his patented smooth flow while touching on a number of subjects, while Birdman takes some fairly direct shots at rival Rick Ross (Hot New Hip Hop Premiere).
Says Sy of the song: "I wanted to separate myself from all this gossip by addressing the elephant in the room, everybody wants to know 'does Birdman pay up?' from all the drama with lil wayne (who is one of my favorite rappers). Since I just signed to cash money this is my side of the story, all facts no diss."
We would greatly appreciate a post on the video and new album, thanks for considering!
Today also marks the release of his new album, 2 Soon. The 17-track LP features K Camp, Money Man, and Birdman, with production from Sy Ari, TM88, Illa Jones, and more.
