Breaking hip-hop artist OnCue unites legendary hip-hop/R&B producer Just Blaze and Dntel from indie supergroup The Postal Service with the debut of “Cry Wolf” featuring Dntel from his forthcoming EP Perfectly, Tragically, Flawed.  The 6-track EP, which can be pre-ordered here, is executive produced by Just Blaze, Maki, and OnCue with additional production by Dntel and is slated to be released on March 24.  Last week, OnCue generated buzz around the project by teasing the track along with the single and EP cover art via his socials calling Perfectly, Tragically, Flawed his favorite project that he’s ever made.  “Cry Wolf”, the first release from the EP, is OnCue’s unique perspective on the art and versatility of hip-hop and is a strategically curated fusion of contemporary and classic hip-hop with indie pop music.  “As I started to follow my heart with my own music, I had an idea.  I wanted to combine hip-hop, and indie/alternative shit.  These were two separate worlds I loved so much.  I wanted to see it happen so bad – I just started making it myself,” said OnCue on the creative process of creating this tonic sound that is noticeably consistent throughout Perfectly, Tragically, Flawed.  OnCue recently performed in Copenhagen during his Perfectly, Tragically, Flawed pop-up concert series and is gearing up for a show in Toronto, CA (Feb 8), Lansing, MI (Feb 9), and Akron, OH (02.10).  Tickets can be purchased here.

With the release of “Cry Wolf,” OnCue also releases a personal letter that details the importance of this project and the process of creating Perfectly, Tragically, Flawed with Just Blaze and Dntel.  Read the full personal letter below:
