In case you missed it... Mick Jenkins appeared on Facebook Live to talk about his debut album The Healing Component, out September 23rd and his upcoming tour - Red Bull Sound Select Presents: A Quest For Love Tour with Mick Jenkins & Smino. Jenkins told Fake Shore Drive founder Andrew Barber, "its very easy to have a negative perspective and be a hater. The 'healing component' IS love. That's the fire we're trying to kindle across the country." The Facebook Live Q&A was broadcast from Chicago's Fat Tiger Workshop, where Jenkins and the clothing line have collaborated on a limited edition tour t-shirt that will be given out to the first 100 guests to arrive to each show- so come early Jenkins warned, because "they gonna be gone!"
Of the tour, Mick Jenkins told Andrew Barber, "there are things about how [Smino] moves around the stage, how he controls the energy in the room, he has a killer band and this guy is just aware. Smino and myself are a very different adaption to a hip hop/rap show that people aren't accustomed to seeing." Red Bull Sound Select Presents: A Quest For Love Tour with Mick Jenkins and Smino kicks off in Seattle on September 29th.
