January 30th, 2015 at approximately 6:14 pm, Drum Squad Records announced the signing of rapper Scott King. The two parties have been in contract negotiations for months while creating an epic sound that is set to drop this year. Drumma Boy known to most by his classic club bangers like Wale’s – “No Hands”, Young Jeezy’s – “Me OK” & “Put On”, as well as 2 Chainz -“Spend It” is a specialized musician with an ear for hit records. With more than a decade of production success and numerous awards, the Memphis bread producer has been the backdrop of today’s mythological urban sound. After solidifying his trendsetting sound within the world of music, Drumma has launched a clothing company (Fresh Phamily), production company (Drum Squad), DJ crew (Drum Squad DJs) and a sparkling wine (Moreno BHLV). Formerly known as Q da Kid, Scott King is arguably one of Brooklyn’s elite musical talents. After working with hip-hop mogul Jermaine Dupri, having a reality show on MTV and signing a major deal with Def Jam, Scott has collaborated with several artists including Jeremih, Maino, Red CafĂ©, Jadakiss, Cap 1, Freddie Gibbs, Anthony Hamilton as well as the “Trill OG” Bun B to name a few. The reality driven MC inspires his words to form a story that is subject to grasp the ears of listeners and assure them that the truth to every scenario is more than just a visual. Drumma and Scott met through DJ Shaolin, a mutual acquaintance that is a major part of Atlanta’s “Turn-Up” nightlife. Once introduced, the two instantly grew a fond respect for one another and quickly began to make music. “Drumma is a real dude… he not Hollywood like most industry people. He stay’s hungry and is always looking to make the next right move. Literally, {he} never sits down,” said Scott. “I feel like we the next legendary producer & rapper duo! Wait till we drop these records and give you a different sound… guaranteed hits!” |
